Get Excited for State Fair 2026!
Started by a small group of women from the Hamline Methodist Episcopal Church Ladies Aid Society in 1897, the Hamline Church Dining Hall is the oldest food concession at the Minnesota State Fair. Our menu hasn't changed much over the years, serving up baked chicken, Swedish meatballs, and our signature dish-Hamloaf. We also have burgers sizzling on the grill, and wraps and salads in our cooler.
Volunteer in the Dining Hall
Looking for a meaningful way to give back and connect with others? Volunteer with us! Whether you're serving food, cleaning tables or offering a warm welcome to guests, your time and presence make a real difference. Volunteers are needed on a rotating basis—no experience required, just a willingness to help and a heart for community. Check back for a sign up! All volunteers receive a free admission ticket, which will be available for pickup at Hamline Church in August. See below for details on transportation to the fair.

Giving Back
Hamline Church believes in the power of generosity and sharing the wealth we receive. Each year, Hamline Church selects organizations to receive a portion of our proceeds at the Dining Hall. We calculate this donation to match a meal given for a meal purchased. Proceeds from the Hamline Church Dining Hall donated last year supported the opening of Emma Norton’s new building, Restoring Waters. To learn more and get involved, visit www.emmanorton.org.
