SUNDAY MORNING BOOK GROUP
Sundays, 9:00am
Hamline Church, Parlor

The Sunday Morning Book Group reads and discusses a wide variety of "religious" literature by popular authors such as John Shelby Spong, Marcus Borg, Elaine Pagels and Bruce Feiller. We have pursued writings of early Christians, studied Emergence Christianity, a recent movement in Protestant Churches and addressed the issue of faith and the environment in A Hopeful Earth by Dyck and Ehrman. Lecture series by great teachers on DVD have broadened our understanding of world religions. We have fun and warmly welcome new folks, whether it's for a single topic or a year.

FICTION & FELLOWSHIP

Selections are usually announced at least one month in advance.  Sometimes there is a theme for the year or a rotation between fiction and non-fiction. All are welcome, even if they have not finished--or even begun--the book being discussed!
