Hamline Church Youth are going to the Cheyenne River Reservation in July 2026

July 26 – August 1st

This year’s youth mission trip will be led by Next Step Ministries. Next Step Ministries is a Christ-centered, 501c3 nonprofit with a heart to do youth missions differently. We are passionate about the experience students can have on a mission trip- serving others while encountering a living God who offers freedom and grace.

Through years of intentional listening and learning we have been inspired to create a space where the beauty and power of short-term trips can connect to real sustainable community development. It’s a tall task, and one we are continually learning and growing in, but it’s also one that when done right, can provide an incredible God-sized experience for both students and communities alike. - Who: Youth grades 6 – 12
- When: July 26th-August 1st
- Where: Cheyenne River Reservation, South Dakota
- Cost: $600

Registering for the Trip

Please complete a Trip Commitment Form for your youth, follow this link to complete by February 15.

Paying for the Trip

- - Family Contribution $600 (may be lower depending on fundraising). This covers the program cost of Next Step Ministries, and travel expenses.
    - $200 deposit due by February 15th
    - $400 Balance due May 1
  - Paying Options:
    - Pay online via Realm (drop down to Youth Mission Trip)
    - By check to the church
    - Contact Mariah with questions or for scholarship.
  - To secure your spot on the trip (or a spot on the waiting list if the trip is full), please submit a $200 deposit on your trip fees by February 16, 2025
- We have never had someone not be able to join because of the price! We can work with you to make this trip happen!

Medical Information

Let us know about medical concerns with your youth and we will ensure that this is a safe trip for them
If requested, adult ASP leaders will assist with ensuring that your youth takes medications on schedule while on the ASP trip.

Your participation in all applicable events is crucial to the success of the trip.

February 1, 2026: Informational Meeting
February 15, 2026: Registration Closed follow this link to complete, $200 deposit due, Pancake breakfast fundraiser!
March TBD, 2026: Next Step participant planning meeting
April TBD, 2026: Culture and Sensitivity training at church at 6:30pm.
May 3, 2026: Balance of Next Step Ministries trip fees due. For all participants. Medical and Liability Release for Hamline Church Due.
June 1st Next Step Ministries Participant Forms Due
July TBD, 2026: Adult leader meeting. For all adult leaders going to ASP.
July 25,2026: Departure meeting, 5:30pm. Drop off your gear for the trip at the church. For all participants.
July 26, 2026: Depart for Cheyenne River Reservation.
August 1, 2026: Return from Trip.
August TBD: Cheyenne River Reservation Sunday. Highlights of the trip during the church worship service. For all participants.
