We continue our fall worship series Back to Basics: Essentials for Being Human and Christian Now. This week explore the Great Requirement: to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. This is a call to live lives rooted in justice, compassion, and humble faithfulness.
Our choir will sing Eric Nelson’s powerful new anthem “What Does the Lord Require,” which breathes fresh life into the prophet Micah’s ancient words. We’re also excited to welcome guest keyboardist Noah Strom, who will lead a jazz trio to perform Oscar Peterson’s Hymn to Freedom—a piece embraced by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as an unofficial anthem of the civil rights movement.
