Our endowment is the result of a tradition of careful stewardship of generous legacy gifts. It is instrumental in supporting the church\u2019s mission and ministry. Hamline Church members and friends who have made plans for a legacy gift become members of the Legacy Circle.<\/p>\n<p>A legacy gift most commonly takes the form of a simple bequest in a will that costs nothing during one\u2019s lifetime but benefits Hamline Church at the death of the donor.\u00a0It may also take the form of an annuity that pays life income, an insurance policy, trust, or a gift of stock or property.\u00a0A legacy gift can be of any size, and often has significant tax benefits for the donor and heirs.\u00a0It can be structured to benefit the donor or Hamline Church during the donor\u2019s lifetime, or to benefit Hamline Church at the donor\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Types of Legacy Gifts<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bequest in your will<\/li>\n<li>Charitable Gift Annuity<\/li>\n<li>Insurance<\/li>\n<li>401K Retirement Benefit Plans and IRAs<\/li>\n<li>Stocks, bonds, real estate, and property<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To create your own legacy of gratitude please contact\u00a0Maureen Freberg, Office Manager. If your estate gift for Hamline Church is already in place, please inform the church office and return the Legacy Gift form, so that we may include you in the Legacy Circle\u00a0and express gratitude for your impact on future generations.<\/p>\n<p>The Legacy Circle is comprised of those who have remembered Hamline Church in their will, trust, or long-range estate plans. We recognize these generous individuals annually with a gathering to express gratitude for their foresight in helping sustain the mission of Hamline Church for future generations.<\/p>\n<h3>Bequest language<\/h3>\n<p>These words may be used by your attorney for inclusion in your will.
