Virtual Centering Prayer
There will be a “virtual” centering prayer at 12:30pm Wednesday. Prayer participants will receive a Bible verse or other spiritual prayer text message on their phone at 12:30pm, then a second message will be sent at 12:50pm to complete the prayer time. If you wish to participate contact Julie Dahlke at jlddvm@usfamily.net or text your phone number and name to 757-0418 if you wish to join the Wednesday prayer group.

Hamline Church offers contemplative prayer weekly prior to Sunday services. Centering prayer is a time of silence and openness to the presence of God; our prayer is inspired by the example of Thomas Merton and the monks of St. John’s Abbey in Massachusetts and work they began in the ’70’s; that example in turn was in large part inspired by desert Christians and mystics of the early Christian age.
