Making a Difference
Making the world a better place is an important part of the mission of Hamline Church. Members and friends, individual or families can participate in a variety of activities that make a difference on a local, national or international level. Hamline Church participates in regularly-planned activities, as well as helping out at an unexpected moment of crisis. The following list shows some of the projects we routinely participate in.

The church's "Paint-a-thon" project for summer of 2007 and spring/summer of 2008 was THE CHURCH BUILDING ITSELF!
Many little projects awaited the attentive hands of volunteers under the guidance of suggestions made by the Hamline UMC Board of Trustees. They redecorated the Parlor, carpeted hallways, and painted offices.
"FAITH BUILDERS" HELPED BUILD A LOCAL HOUSE A local group of churches banded together through Habitat for Humanity as a ‘Faith Builders’ group, working together to build a home. Hamline volunteers joined in working on the house in St. Paul during the periods of June 6-17 and June 27-July 1, 2005. Many thanks to Bob Sellers and his team!
Food Shelf Collections Hamline Church members contribute food items to provide food for a local food shelf. Bob and Jacquie Sellers are coordinators. In addition, Hamline Church participates in the Minnesota FoodShare campaign - a state-wide campaign to fill our local foodshelve under the coordination of our Church/Society/Missions team.
