a New Church was born!
* While the combined Sunday morning service began on May 23,
the "official merger" documents were approved by those of both congregations present
on Sunday, June 27, 2010.
Summertime Regular Sunday Schedule
8:00AM Early Communion service (this service discontinued after June 6, 2010)
10:00 AM - Worship Service (note new later time)
11:00 AM - Fellowship time (and occasional meetings/greetings)
Open Hearts! Open Minds! Open Doors!
We began our life together with on May 23, 2010 with the union of the Church of the Good Shepherd and the Hamline UMC congregations
joining henceforth as one worshipping entity in the building on Englewood ...
United Methodist Church Minnesota Annual Conference Bishop, Rev. Sally Dyck, preached.
The newly combined choir from both congregations sang. Twin Cities UMC District Superintendent, Rev. Liz Lopez, and church dignitaries from the Old Catholic Church
and its Church of St. Anthony, co-located in the Englewood building, also participated.
It was Pentecost Sunday, so many of us wore red!
Red banners were hung, bells were rung, ARS Nova Brass performed, an instrumental band played, fire was created accoustically!
It was Confirmation Sunday, so we honored our new Confirmands
during coffee/fellowship time at 11 AM.
